Going Nude in Barcelona And The Way The Nudity Laws Are Altering

Naked in Barcelona - Were you envisioning that the European nakation could be clothing-free with the more lenient laws on nudity over there ? Well the rules are changing in Catalonia's capital. Up until now public nudity was allowed, and the Barcelona City Council even put out a pamphlet in 2004 called "Expressing Yourself in Nudity" which included images of naked folks around the city in parks, on the metro, etc.

It pointed out the law "doesn't contain any article for sanctions against public nudity." (Let us design a pamphlet like that for NYC please ;)

But I Wish To Be Bare In Barcelona !!!!

But it looks like folks will need to put their pants back on starting late April as they are prohibiting public nudity. From the NY Times: "A committee of the city council approved a draft resolution empowering the authorities to prevent people on the road who were nude or improperly dressed and to require them to cover themselves or face fines of up to $700."

Seemingly http://m2.net/__media__/js/netsoltrademark.php?d=nudebeach.top/contents/89072800/1.html is an effort to bring an improved quality and quantity of tourists, ie. not the ones who are visiting for crazy parties with cheap booze and naked folks clearly. Considering few folks went openly bare in the first place, I don't see how forbidding it'll help with mad tourism issues. Well let us hope nothing changes on the nudist beaches!
